State Bank of India (SBI) is the largest commercial bank in India. It has a huge network of over 24,000 branches across the country. Earlier, changing the branch of your bank used to be a hectic process. This included visiting the branch, filling out several forms, standing in long queues and then waiting for several days to get the account transferred. But gone are the days when you had to go through this tiresome task. With the advent of the internet, most bank-related tasks can be easily performed online – from the comfort of your home.
If you are a customer of the State Bank of India (SBI) and wish to transfer your bank branch, you can do that online as well. For this, you need to have your number registered with the bank.
Here we are going to explain the step-by-step guide for online transfer of the State Bank of India Branch:
Step 1: SBI customers can visit the official website of the bank – www.onlinesbi.com.
Step 2: Use your login credentials to access your net banking. First-time users will have to create a log in.
Step 3: Once logged in, click on ‘e-services’ tab.
Step 4: Now click on ‘Transfer of Saving Account’ under quick links.
Step 5: A new page will open. Now select the account that you want to transfer. If you have only one SBI account, it will get selected by default.
Step 6: Now enter the branch code where you want to transfer your account.

Step 7: Click on ‘get branch code’ and select the branch.
Step 8: Enter the name of the new branch in the required field and click submit after accepting the terms and conditions.
Step 9: Will now get an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter it and your request for transferring bank branch will be registered.
Step 10: Within a few days, your branch will be transferred.
