State Bank of India (SBI) has two popular special FDs in the 400-day Amrit Kalash Scheme and the 444-day Amrit Vrishti Scheme.

SBI Amrit Kalash 400-day FD: Features
India’s top lender launched the scheme in February 2023 for more than a year but extended the deadline many times to March 31, 2025.
It offers domestic retail term deposits, including NRI Rupee Term Deposits (< Rs 2 crore). Among schemes, new and renewal deposits, term deposits, and special term deposits are available for retail investors.
It also provides a loan against the FD facility and can be purchased from SBI branches and its Yono app channel.

General citizens get an interest rate of 7.10 per cent in the scheme.
SBI Amrit Kalash 400-day FD: Interest rate for senior citizens
The interest rate for senior citizens is 7.60 per cent.
SBI Amrit Vrishti 444-day FD: Features
SBI Amrit Vrishti offers the highest interest rates among all SBI FDs and special FDs.
The 444-day Amrit Vrishti was launched in July 2024 and will be available till March 31, 2025.
It offers Domestic Retail Term Deposits, including NRI Rupee Term Deposits (< Rs 3 crore).
Among schemes, new and renewal of existing deposits, term deposits, and special term deposits are available.
In term deposits, the FD holder can get the interest monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly.
While in special term deposit schemes, the interest is available on maturity.
The scheme also provides a loan against the FD facility.

General citizens get an interest rate of 7.25 per cent in the scheme.
