This move comes after Rob Walker stepped down as Cognizant’s GGM leader last month. TOI had earlier reported the exit of Walker, who had joined Cognizant in 2021 as MD of UK and Ireland but had subsequently taken charge of all of Cognizant’s markets outside the US.
Mehta, who leads Cognizant’s global large deals team, has now been named head of Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), covering Cognizant’s commercial and delivery interests in Northern, Central, and Southern Europe; Middle East; Africa; and the United Kingdom and Ireland. Livesey has been named Head of Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) representing Australia; New Zealand; ASEAN; Greater China; India; and Japan. Jane previously ran the ANZ region for Cognizant, joining the IT firm in August 2020 from PwC.
“More than half of our company’s market opportunity lies outside of the Americas, and our Global Growth Markets’ (GGM) focus on improving our strategic position with clients and capturing more of this opportunity are key to accelerating Cognizant’s revenue growth,” Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S said in a note to employees. Nearly all of the vast range of GGM markets will grow in 2023, and we have the obligation to appropriately scale them for future opportunities, he added.
