A SpiceJet flight operating from Delhi to Patna was forced to return to Delhi shortly after takeoff on Thursday following a technical issue, airline sources said.
Flight SG 497, which had departed from Delhi for Patna, experienced a technical glitch mid-air, prompting the pilot to take precautionary measures and return to the national capital.
“All passengers on board are safe,” a SpiceJet spokesperson confirmed. The aircraft landed back in Delhi without incident.
According to airline sources, arrangements have been made for the stranded passengers to board an alternative flight scheduled to depart at 11:30 a.m.
The airline has not yet disclosed the exact nature of the technical problem but said safety procedures were followed in line with standard aviation protocols.
More details will be added soon
