Guwahati: An IndiGo flight from Guwahati to Delhi was postponed by three hours on Thursday as a result of a mechanical problem on the aircraft.

Flight 6E 930, was planned to depart from Guwahati for Delhi, remained on the ground as engineers performed safety checks. According to the airline, passengers were informed about the postponement of the flight.

An official from IndiGo said, “Due to a technical issue, IndiGo flight 6E 930 from Guwahati to Delhi experienced a three-hour delay. The aircraft remains grounded for technical checks. Passengers are being provided with refreshments and can choose a full refund or rebooking on the next flight, ANI reported.

IndiGo recently expanded its international operations. On November 15, the airline added Delhi-Manchester to its long-haul network, following the Mumbai-Manchester route launched earlier this year.

The aircraft has a two-class cabin configuration, designed for comfort on long-haul flights. The two-class cabin configuration are:

• 56 IndiGoStretch seats
• 282 Economy Class seats

Delhi’s IGI Airport is one of India’s major international airports, while Manchester Airport is the top airport connecting Northern England apart from London. The new route fortifies travel and trade connections between India and the UK.

IndiGo flight 6E0033 operates from Delhi to Manchester on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Flight 6E0034 operates from Manchester to Delhi on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
