NEW DELHI: Maruti Suzuki is recalling a total of 87,599 units of the S-Presso hatch and Eeco van for a possible defect that may affect vehicle steerability and handling. The company said that the vehicles being called back for inspection are those that have been manufactured between July 5, 2021, and February 15, 2023.
“It is suspected that there is a possible defect in a part of steering tie rod, used in such vehicles, which in a rare case may break and affect vehicle steerability and handling. Affected vehicle owners will be receiving communication from Maruti’s authorised dealer workshops for inspection and replacement of the faulty part, free of cost,” the company said. The recall is effective Monday onwards.
