Noida International Airport at Jewar is scheduled to begin commercial flight operations on June 15, according to the announced flight schedule. The airport’s first scheduled commercial service will be operated by IndiGo, with the inaugural flight arriving from Lucknow.
According to the schedule, IndiGo’s first service will depart from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow at 7:05 am and land at Noida International Airport at 8:05 am on June 15. The airport’s first regular outbound commercial flight is scheduled to operate to Bengaluru.
The airport is expected to serve passengers from western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR and nearby regions.
First IndiGo flight to arrive from Lucknow
IndiGo will be the first airline to commence scheduled commercial operations from Noida International Airport. The carrier’s inaugural flight is scheduled to arrive from Lucknow at 8:05 am on June 15.
Following the arrival of the first flight, regular commercial services are scheduled to begin from the airport. Additional domestic routes are expected to be added as airline operations expand.
First phase can handle 12 million passengers annually
The first phase of the airport has been completed and includes one runway, an integrated terminal building and an Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower.
According to project details, the airport’s initial phase has an annual passenger handling capacity of 12 million passengers. The facility received an aerodrome licence from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on March 6, 2026, paving the way for commercial operations.
Airport expansion planned in four phases
Spread across approximately 1,334 hectares in Gautam Buddha Nagar district, the airport is being developed in four phases.
The project is among Uttar Pradesh’s major infrastructure developments and has been planned as a multi-phase airport project.
How passenger capacity will expand by 2040
The airport has been designed for phased expansion to accommodate rising passenger traffic.
Under the current development roadmap, annual passenger capacity is projected to increase to 30 million by 2031, 50 million by 2036 and 70 million by 2040. Additional infrastructure and operational facilities are expected to be added as subsequent phases are completed.

The launch of commercial flights provides travellers in Noida, Greater Noida, western Uttar Pradesh and parts of the National Capital Region with an additional airport option. With commercial operations scheduled to begin on June 15, the airport will start serving passengers in its first operational phase.
