As November comes to a close, several important government and financial deadlines are set to expire by the month end. Individuals who have not yet completed important tasks must do so by November 30, as many of these options will no longer be available from December 1 onward.
Here are the major changes and deadlines you need to know.
Last date for Unified Pension Scheme (UPS)
Earlier, the deadline for Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) was September 30, but later the government has fixed November 30 as the final date for employees wishing to choose UPS.
UPS follows a different model from NPS, and the option to switch is available only for a limited period. Employees who want to opt for UPS must apply by November 30. From December 1, this option will no longer remain open.
Deadline for pensioners to submit life certificates
All pensioners must submit their annual life certificate by November 30. Missing the deadline may lead to the pension being stopped.
This process can also be completed from home using a digital life certificate (Jeevan Pramaan). After November 30, pensioners will not be able to submit the certificate for the current cycle.
LPG Price revision from December 1
Oil marketing companies review LPG prices on the first day of each month. New LPG prices will come into effect on December 1.
On November 1, 2025, OMCs had reduced the price of a 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder by up to Rs 6.50.
Due dates for tax-related submissions
Several tax-related documents also need to be filed by November 30:
If TDS was deducted in October 2025, statements under sections 194-IA, 194-IB, 194M, and 194S must be submitted by this date.
Taxpayers required to file reports under section 92E can also submit their ITR by November 30. Form 3CEAA for constituent entities of international groups must also be filed by November 30.
These filings will not be possible starting December 1.
ATF price update
Like LPG, Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices are also revised on the first of every month. ATF rates may either increase or decrease on December 1, depending on the monthly review.
